Family Camps
Spring Camp: 26th - 30th May & Summer Camp: 11th - 16th August 2026

Now more than ever, we need community
We love hosting you on the farm, and it is an absolute pleasure and joy to watch your children grow and explore with curiosity year on year.
The camps are held by our warm and creative hosting team, and are generously staffed with diverse and dynamic facilitators, creating magic and caring for you and your children. The whole camp is fully catered, allowing you quality time as a family, and time to relax.
Feedback from previous camps tells us that you welcome space to "just be" so we give time for enjoying the land and down time, reading a book by the wildlife ponds, exploring the polytunnel, or wondering up the hill to catch the sunset. Families have also enjoyed the opportunity to walk down to swim in the Teign river.
Each day there are farm 'joblets' - cider bottling, visiting the animals, bringing in the hay, the mass potato harvest, seed sowing and much more.
Evenings of live music, candlelit cinema in the cob barn, friendships sealed at the Dock & Thistle - our very own pop-up bar and tuck shop, and an evening of bedtime stories around the fire, where characters really do come to life!
We now have the wonderful addition of a wood fired hot tub, which has been made available in past camps. This was built as a legacy project by young people on Hill Tribe 2023.
There will be onsite massage therapies available to book in advance - more details nearer the time.
We foster a community culture and ask that all families come prepared to be of service to the whole by helping out with washing up, chopping veg and any other camp care tasks. This will be initiated with a 'sign up to help out' rota system.
The Dock & Thistle tuck shop will sell a range of homemade snacks and drinks (this is a CASH ONLY BAR). Our mini library (beautifully made by two 2021 camp participants) stocks a range of books and games for you to borrow while on the farm.
What to Expect
When you arrive, you'll be warmly welcomed and guided to your camping spot. In the Dining Barn your children are encouraged to join us in making bread and dough in preparation for the wood-fired pizza supper, giving you time to set-up camp for your first evening with us.
We start each day with the offer of early morning yoga in the cob barn, then breakfast, including fire-cooked pancakes, and a morning circle and games where we share the offerings of the day. Workshops for adults, children and young people may include rural crafts, farm 'joblets', cooking, clay play, drumming, foraged potion making, hobby horsing, and singing for adults and children. We take time for lunch to sit and be together before the afternoon's offerings begin. The tuck shop opens late afternoon, as we roll into the evening of supper, the bar opens, and there may be music around the campfire, bedtime stories, a cinema evening for the children, or a night of dancing with our ceilidh band. There are so many treats throughout the camp, not to forget... our now infamous Family Camp treasure hunt extravaganza!
We look forward to seeing you and your family at the farm to make the next Family Camp as memorable as the last.
