Daytime Hire at Oxen Park Farm

The Cob Barn

Located at the heart our biodynamically farmed and rewilded land, the Cob Barn is a beautiful meeting space for groups of up to 100 people. Cosy and warm on colder days and spacious and light with large doors to open on a beautiful day, the Cob Barn reflects our values of beautiful, functional and sustainable.

When you arrive, you'll be greeted by one of our team who will give you a brief welcome talk to include the story of how the cob barn was transformed from a cow shed to the beautiful oak-floored space it is today.

We can provide chairs laid out in any way you chose, tables, projector screen, flip chart, PA etc - the Cob Barn offers beautiful views, and is warmed by a huge wood burner on colder days.

Our Cob Barn is a bare foot space - there is a generous hallway with hooks and benches for shoes & coats - in the colder months it's advisable to bring slippers or thicker socks for comfort. The cob barn is serviced by two compost toilets just a few steps outside the barn.

Curtains can be open to the beautiful views or closed for privacy, and black-out blinds are arriving soon to make the most of our projector. Wi-Fi is not available yet, but most phone providers are now getting strong 4G / 5G signal in the Cob Barn.

Our 19 foot yurt is a beautiful, snug space that can be set-up with chairs, benches, sheepskin rugs, and is heated by a wood burner in the colder months.  We will greet you, and introduce you to the space with a short welcome talk about the history of the land and how it has grown in the past years to be what it is today.

Available on Mondays-Thursdays during our off-peak season of September-March. If your desired meeting time is outside of these times and is short notice (within 4 weeks), please contact us as we may have availability.

Our Food Offering

Food and feasting is at the heart of what we do. It is part of our commitment to nourish, connect and celebrate the community and land we live on. All our meals are made with organically grown produce harvested from our own vegetable beds and, where possible other local producers that share our approach to regenerative farming and sustainability.
